Typical sensor applications throughout the ship include high and low liquid level alarms, automatic pump on and off control, single point, multi-point and continuous liquid level monitoring, flow determination and pressure switch monitoring on the following equipment:
Auxiliary generator fuel tank
Bilge level detection
Fuel oil tanks
Storage tanks for drinking water
The deck flooded the alarm
Ballast tank
Hydraulic system mailbox
Gray water tank
Cooling system
Coolant tank
Bilges and empty compartments
Water film forming foam fire extinguishing agent box
Daily fuel tank
High liquid level alarm with closed load
Lubricating oil and lubricating waste oil cans
Doweston ship sensors are designed to be robust to harsh operating conditions, such as turbulent liquids, foreign-containing liquids, liquid interfaces, and high-temperature and high-pressure fluids. The structural materials include bronze, 304 or 316 stainless steel, MONELTM and copper-nickel alloy. Standard float material can be selected oil-resistant butadiene rubber, high temperature resistant stainless steel and high pressure resistant Excel (epoxy) . Install flanges and electrical connections in full compliance with Navy standards.
Commercial ships use sensors throughout the ship, including high and low liquid level alarm, automatic pump on and off control, single-point, multi-point and continuous liquid level monitoring, flow determination and pressure switch monitoring
